WBR Early Learning was created to ensure all children in West Baton Rouge Parish have access to high-quality early learning experiences and family support to ensure that children are ready for learning and ready for life.

According to child development research, the experiences a child has between birth and age 5 shape and influence later life outcomes, including economist ability, work productivity, and mental health. Therefore, comprehensive, high-quality early childhood care and education programs can:

* Improve developmental and school readiness outcomes

* Increase K- 1 2 achievement

* Increase high school graduation rates

* Prepare the next generation of worker and parents
